The author discusses in conjunction with contemporary views on the genesis and development of diabetic neuropathy the view on the neurotoxicity of oral antidiabetics, in particular sulphonyl urea derivatives. He analyzes in more detail different areas of pathogenesis of diabetics neuropathy, the main one being the metabolic and hypoxic one with the common trigger mechanism--hyperglycaemia. Therefore, based on contemporary knowledge, the neurotoxicity of oral antidiabetics can be ruled out.
作者结合当代关于糖尿病神经病变发生发展的观点,探讨了口服抗糖尿病药物,尤其是磺脲类衍生物的神经毒性观点。他更详细地分析了糖尿病神经病变发病机制的不同方面,主要方面是代谢和缺氧方面,其共同触发机制为高血糖。因此,根据当代知识,可以排除口服抗糖尿病药物的神经毒性。
