Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To improve dissolution and bioavailability of baicalin in solid prescription and screen the prescription of self-emulsifying drug delivery systems of baicalin.

METHODS

Orthogonal test was applied to optimize the prescription of self-emulsifying drug delivery systems of baicalin, and the best prescription was selected by comprehensive evaluation of emulsion speed, size and light transmission rate.

RESULTS

The best quantity ratio of self-emulsifying drug delivery systems of baicalin was baicalin: polysorbate 80: oliver oil: glycerol = 0.15 : 1 : 1 : 1.5.

CONCLUSION

Self-emulsifying drug delivery systems of baicalin prepared can effectively improve the dissolution of baicalin in artificial gastric juice.
