To investigate the relationship between recurrent pregnancy loss and single nucleotide polymorphisms in the protein Z (PZ) intron F G79A and the promoter region of the IL6 C634G genes in Egyptian women.
Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the PZ intron F G79A gene and the promoter region of the IL6 C634G gene were studied in 70 Egyptian women; 40 patients and 30 healthy and parous volunteers using the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism technique.
Regarding the PZ intron F G79A polymorphism; a higher prevalence of the A allele in the controls (53.3%) compared with the cases (22.5%) was found, and the difference proved to be statistically significant (P = 0.008). As for the IL6 C634G polymorphism, the frequency of the G allele was higher in the controls (100%) than in the cases (95%), but the difference did not prove to be statistically significant (P = 0.503). A statistically significant difference between the prevalence of the IL6 C634G (95%) and the PZ intron F G79A (22.5%) was detected (P ≤ 0.001).
A statistically significant difference of the frequency of the A allele of the PZ intron F G79A polymorphism was found with a higher prevalence of the A allele among the controls compared with the patients, suggesting a lower risk of recurrent pregnancy loss among the studied patients, but the IL6 C634G polymorphism did not prove to have an equivalent effect.
研究埃及女性蛋白 Z(PZ)内含子 F G79A 单核苷酸多态性与白细胞介素 6(IL6)C634G 基因启动子区单核苷酸多态性与复发性流产的关系。
采用聚合酶链反应-限制性片段长度多态性技术,对 70 例埃及女性(40 例患者和 30 例健康多产妇)的 PZ 内含子 F G79A 基因和 IL6 C634G 基因启动子区单核苷酸多态性进行研究。
PZ 内含子 F G79A 多态性方面,对照组 A 等位基因的发生率(53.3%)高于病例组(22.5%),差异具有统计学意义(P=0.008)。至于 IL6 C634G 多态性,对照组 G 等位基因的频率(100%)高于病例组(95%),但差异无统计学意义(P=0.503)。IL6 C634G(95%)和 PZ 内含子 F G79A(22.5%)的发生率之间存在统计学显著差异(P≤0.001)。
PZ 内含子 F G79A 多态性的 A 等位基因频率存在统计学显著差异,对照组 A 等位基因的发生率高于病例组,提示研究患者的复发性流产风险较低,但 IL6 C634G 多态性没有表现出相同的效果。
