Abstract
The cases of 173 children (under 16 years of age) treated for facial injuries at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Cologne, FRG, between 1981 and 1989 are reported. 63 of these patients had fractures of the body of the mandible. 32 patients could be treated with miniplate osteosynthesis (after Champy). Our results show that accurate diagnosis is imperative if complications and late sequelae are to be avoided.
摘要
报告了1981年至1989年间在联邦德国科隆口腔颌面外科接受面部损伤治疗的173名16岁以下儿童的病例。其中63例患者发生下颌骨体骨折。32例患者采用微型钢板接骨术（Champy术后）进行治疗。我们的结果表明，要避免并发症和后期后遗症，准确诊断至关重要。
