[Characteristics of premorbid conditions in drug addicts].

The paper is concerned with premorbid characteristics of patients hospitalized because of narcotic and toxic agents abuse. It has been established that in different clinical groups, the examined manifested the analogous personality traits even before the use of the agents indicated, namely marked tendencies towards self-assertion, reduced capacity for long goal-oriented activity, irritability, and proneness to idle fancy.
