Abstract
The effect of ferricytochrome c and methemoglobin on the model phospholipid membrane structure has been investigated using fluorescent probes: 1-anilinonaphthalene-8-sulphonate, 4-dimethylaminochalcone and 3-methoxybenzanthrone. Ferricytochrome c and methemoglobin is found to cause the disordering of the phospholipid bilayer surface region.
