Analysis of patterns of use of an emergency dental service.

When establishing an emergency dental service, its success must, to a large extent, depend on such factors as the operating times, the catchment area, and the types of problems presented by clients, be they genuine emergencies or not. This paper reports the experience gained from one such emergency service, in the hope that it may be of value to others proposing to establish something similar.
