To verify whether children with phonological disorders present alterations in the medial olivocochlear system.
This is a prospective cross-sectional study in which 19 normal hearing children of both genders, with ages between 4 and 7 years, were divided into two groups: 11 children without phonological disorders (control group) and eight with phonological disorders (study group). The auditory condition was verified by visual examination of the external ear canal, pure tone audiometry, and tympanometry. The study included only children with hearing thresholds below or equal to 15 dB, type A tympanometry, and presence of acoustic reflexes. To evaluate the function of the medial olivocochlear system, it was carried out the evaluation of transient evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE) with and without contralateral white noise at 60 dBHL. Data were statistically analyzed.
The occurrence and average values of TEOAE suppression in right and left ears did not present differences in the frequencies of 1, 2, 3 and 4 kHz within groups. In the comparison of the mean and the occurrence of the suppressive effect of TEOAE between control and study groups, there was also no difference in the frequencies analyzed.
Children with phonological disorders do not present alterations in the medial olivocochlear system, as evidenced by the occurrence of the suppressive effect of transient evoked otoacoustic emissions.
验证患有语音障碍的儿童在内侧橄榄耳蜗系统是否存在改变。
这是一项前瞻性横断面研究,19名年龄在4至7岁之间的正常听力儿童,男女不限,被分为两组:11名无语音障碍儿童(对照组)和8名有语音障碍儿童(研究组)。通过外耳道目视检查、纯音听力测定和鼓室图检查来验证听觉状况。该研究仅纳入听力阈值低于或等于15dB、鼓室图为A型且存在声反射的儿童。为评估内侧橄榄耳蜗系统的功能,在60dBHL的对侧白噪声存在和不存在的情况下进行瞬态诱发耳声发射(TEOAE)评估。对数据进行统计学分析。
组内右耳和左耳TEOAE抑制的发生率及平均值在1、2、3和4kHz频率上没有差异。在对照组和研究组之间比较TEOAE抑制效应的平均值和发生率时,所分析的频率也没有差异。
瞬态诱发耳声发射抑制效应的出现证明,患有语音障碍的儿童在内侧橄榄耳蜗系统中不存在改变。
