Abstract
This article reviews the main aspects of chronic hepatitis C (epidemiological, genomic related to enhanced molecular understanding of the life cycle of the hepatitis C virus, HCV) especially standard therapy with pegilated interferon α and ribavirin. Emphasis is also placed on the immune response of the liver to HCV and the assessment of liver fibrosis via transient elastography.

本文回顾了丙型肝炎的主要方面（流行病学、与对丙型肝炎病毒生命周期增强分子理解相关的基因组学），特别是聚乙二醇化干扰素α和利巴韦林的标准治疗。还重点介绍了肝脏对丙型肝炎病毒的免疫反应以及通过瞬时弹性成像评估肝纤维化。
