The predetermination of the eventual outcome of orthodontic treatment should be a part of each orthodontist's armamentarium. The mini-visualized treatment objective is a simple yet relatively accurate method of predicting the incisor and molar relations on the basis of growth and treatment alterations of the dentoskeletal framework. Obtainable treatment objectives are recorded on the original acetate tracing. In addition to space calculations, direction and magnitude of tooth movement are clearly indicated. Not only is the mini-visualized treatment objective an excellent visual aid during case presentation, it may also be used to check on possible "midcourse" corrections during treatment and the evaluation of the final result compared with the original prediction.
