[Detection and quantification of immunoglobulins in gingival cervical fluid in periodontal disease].

Gingival fluid components are capable of functioning at the tooth surface in an analogous way as that of blood in tissues. Our investigation showed strong host antibody responses in gingival fluid in periodontal disease. The level of IgG in gingival fluid in comparison with serum antibody level showed local host responses in gingival tissue through the periodontal disease.
