Cholestyramine in the treatment of antibiotic associated pseudomembranous colitis: a case report.

A patient with antibiotic associated pseudomembranous colitis (A-PMC) is described in whom there was a dramatic response to the administration of cholestyramine. Although it is not clear why cholestyramine should be beneficial, its use should be considered whenever the diagnosis of pseudomembranous colitis is entertained.
