Abstract
A review of the literature on osteoma of the jaws as well as its relationship to Gardner syndrome was presented. A case report of a compact or ivory osteoma that had been slowly enlarging for a minimum of eight years was described. The one-year postoperative examination has shown no discernible resumption of growth.
