Acute administration of hexafluorobenzene (HFB) (1200 mg/kg body wt i.p.), induced significant increases in male rat hepatic microsomal protein content (39% increase), microsomal cytochrome P-450 content (150% increase) and microsomal glucose-6-phosphatase activity (25% increase). The assays were carried out 24 h after treatment. Hexafluorobenzene also significantly shortened (by 22%) hexobarbitone-induced sleeping time.
