[Production and application of monoclonal antibodies].

The following article describes both theoretical basis and detailed method for producing monoclonal antibodies in the systems of mouse and man. It further outlines methods to characterize monoclonal antibodies and produce them on a larger scale. Finally, reference is made to their application in research and medicine, and further developments are indicated.
