[Engineering aspects of electromagnetic hyperthermia].

The paper is concerned with an approach of Japanese investigators to the treatment of malignant tumors using hyperthermia. Some physical and engineering aspects of electromagnetic hyperthermia were described. Emphasis was laid on the designing of equipment simple to maintain and the development of accessories.
