Abstract
The AMA offers guidance on ethical issues pertaining to risks involving patient discharge, which provides an example of how the might pertain to issues in risk management. This article presents one example case regarding patient discharge and how the might be applied in such a scenario to help guide physicians in ethically discharging a patient while also managing associated risks.
