Hydrazine derivatives (Gidrel, Digidrel and DMMH) at a dose of 1/10 (LD50) inhibit microsomal oxidation, decrease superoxide dismutase activity and activate lipid peroxidation in the rat hepatic microsomes. At the same dose level maleic hydrazide has no effect on the indices studied. The role of superoxide-superoxide dismutase system in the mechanism of microsomal oxidation inhibition by hydrazine derivatives is discussed.
