A new practical method for construction of 3D porous carbon was developed through molecular design via one-step synthesis from commercially available carbon tetrabromide and bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene on a gram-scale, and the obtained porous carbon has a well-defined sp -sp all-carbon structure (C ), high stability, and high surface area.
