Abstract
Mitral annular calcification tends to be significant in patients of advanced age or with underlying processes such as increased mechanical stress. When severe, it can significantly affect perioperative outcomes, especially if mitral decalcification is required for success. This report describes a versatile heart-team approach to a very complex condition. ().
