The clinical picture, diagnosis, and the results of treatment of noncommunicating cysts of the septum pellucidum in 11 patients are analysed. The diagnosis of the cysts can be made by means of pneumo- and angiography and by computer tomography. Operative treatment of the cysts both in the immediate and in the late periods is sufficiently effective. Transventricular access to the cyst is most acceptable.
