Abstract

Ultrasonography neck and dual-phase Tc-sestamibi (MIBI) scan are standard imaging techniques for the detection of parathyroid adenomas in primary hyperparathyroidism. However, in presence of coexistent thyroid disease or small size of adenomas, the accuracy of these imaging modalities is low and leads to delayed diagnosis. We here present a report of two patients with primary hyperparathyroidism and with a nondiagnostic MIBI scan, who subsequently underwent successful surgery after positive localization of adenomas on F-fluorocholine positron emission tomography-computed tomography.

超声检查颈部和双期锝- sestamibi(MIBI)扫描是检测原发性甲状旁腺功能亢进症中甲状旁腺腺瘤的标准成像技术。然而,在并存甲状腺疾病或腺瘤体积较小的情况下,这些成像方式的准确性较低,会导致诊断延迟。我们在此报告两名原发性甲状旁腺功能亢进症患者,他们的MIBI扫描未明确诊断,随后在F-氟胆碱正电子发射断层扫描-计算机断层扫描上腺瘤定位阳性后成功接受了手术。
