Abstract
Neodymium:YAG laser anterior capsulotomy performed in nine cases had a high incidence of complications. In 220 cases of Nd:YAG laser nucleus pretreatment, without opening the anterior capsule, the time required for emulsification of the nucleus was less than with standard techniques.
