Rebasing metal-based complete mandibular dentures.

A comprehensive rationale and technique is presented for rebasing a metal-based mandibular complete denture. It is economically practical to rebase the metal-based complete denture if it meets the criteria for rebasing. No more chair time is required for replacing a metal base than for an acrylic resin base. The only additional cost is for construction of the new metal base in the laboratory.
