Abstract
A questionnaire was sent to disabled people to ascertain what part their general practitioners played in their long term care. The average consultation rate was 4.40 per patient a year. Overall, it appeared that the patients were most concerned with the general practitioner's attitude towards them and the general practitioner's availability.
