Environmental health aspects of additives for the petroleum industry.

This paper gives an outline of Essochem's policy and resources in environmental health, briefly describes industrial hygiene aspects of the manufacture and use of additives, and concentrates on the toxicology of some important additive types. It also explains how Essochem communicates hazard information and draws attention to some special points of concern which the additives industry in general has with existing and developing environmental health regulations.
