[Primary resistance to isoniazid (author's transl)].

Primary resistance to isoniazid is to be expected in 3.4 per cent of all tuberculous persons in the German Federal Republic including Berlin (West). An increased incidence in primary isoniazid resistance was observed during 1974--1977 in two neighbouring districts. Potential causes and the clinical consequences of the increased resistance are discussed.
