Anatomic basis for tomographic analysis of the heart at autopsy.

As noninvasive cross-sectional (tomographic) imaging techniques become commonplace in clinical practice, an understanding of two-dimensional cardiac anatomy also becomes essential, both for the clinician and the pathologist. The tomographic analysis of normal and diseased hearts is presented in an atlas format to facilitate this understanding.
