Phenytoin absorption following jejunoileal bypass.

Phenytoin absorption is decreased in patients with jejunoileal bypass. Although adequate absorption can be achieved, increased dosages of this agent probably will be necessary in most cases to achieve a therapeutic plasma level and clinical control of seizures.
