[Case of rectal carcinoid associated with carcinomas of the esophagus and ureter].

We report a 71-year-old man with rectal carcinoid accompanying carcinomas of the esophagus and ureter. These were synchronous triple cancers clinically diagnosable and curable. Pathohistologically, positive granules were observed upon Grimelius and Masson-Fontana staining. The production of multiple hormones was indicated by electron microscopy and histochemical studies (PAP method).
