[The use of physostigmine in the treatment of central anticholinergic intoxication (author's transl)].

Two patients were admitted to us from the city of Rotterdam suffering from central and peripheral symptomatology which indicated anticholinergic poisoning. Physostigmine salicylate was administered and the symptomatology promptly cleared up. These two cases demonstrate the potential differential-diagnostic and curative value of physostigmine.
