An attempt was made to study the significance of the degrees of accentuation for the adaptation to flow-line work. A total of 270 locksmiths were subjected to a psychopathological examination--with in the frame of the neurosis theory. Apart from the clinical assessment, questionaires prepared by H. Schmieschek and MMPI were used. A statistical analysis showed that accentuation degrees can be used as criteria for assessing the vocational aptitude of flow-line work, and thus experience can be utilised which was elaborated in medical psychology, that is to say, in the personality theory by K. Leonhard.
