In the light of own examinations the problem of the diagnosis of internal knee derangements by utilizing sound emissions from the knee-joint is presented. By means of a ECG recorder with a phono device acoustic emissions from 92 joints have been recorded under the restrictions of such a device. A following comparison with the intra-operative findings gave first hints at connections.
