Abstract
19 patients with cancer of the liver treated with palliative irradiation are presented. In five of eleven cases jaundice disappeared (4) or diminished (1). In two of the eight patients with pain as the chief symptom pain disappeared, and in one case the enlarged liver diminished considerably. A total of eight of 19 cases responded to radiation treatment.

本文报告了19例接受姑息性放疗的肝癌患者。11例中有5例黄疸消失（4例）或减轻（1例）。8例以疼痛为主要症状的患者中，2例疼痛消失，1例肝脏肿大明显缩小。19例患者中共有8例对放射治疗有反应。
