Successful implant-retained restorations are the product of a disciplined and comprehensive approach to diagnosis, treatment planning, precise surgical and restorative procedures and continuing maintenance. The prudent use of provisional/transitional crowns and bridges is an important factor in the attainment of clinical success and patient acceptance of fixed prosthodontic implant dentistry.
