[Special talents of autistic children (autistic-savant) and their mental functions].

Special abilities (talents) for memory, mathematics, art, music, calendar calculations and other skills of autistic children are described. During the past ten years, due to greater number of known cases of autistic children, statistical analysis has been made possible. The study of that interesting and rare appearance provided an insight into the functioning of the right cerebral hemisphere which is most probably responsible for those abilities.
