Abstract
A hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase-encoding gene (HGPRT) from Toxoplasma gondii has been isolated and sequenced. The identity of the enzyme was determined by sequence comparison and complementation in a mutant Escherichia coli.
