Combined spontaneous postpartum coronary artery dissection and pulmonary embolism with survival.

A young woman who survived after suffering in the immediate postpartum period a spontaneous coronary dissection with resultant myocardial infarction and a pulmonary embolism with pulmonary infarct is presented. Diagnostic and therapeutic considerations for this unique occurrence are discussed and reviewed.
