[Analysis of steroid hormone receptors in endometrial cancer].

Specimens of endometrial adenocarcinoma, surgically obtained from 46 women, were analyzed for distribution of estrogen ER and progesterone PgR receptors by immunocytochemical assay, employing monoclonal antibodies and the peroxidase-antiperoxidase technique. Immunohistochemical evaluation incorporated both intensity and distribution of staining. In all cases ER and PgR localized in the nucleus of target cells. Significant ER and PgR localization were present in malignant epithelial cells, stromal and myometrial elements.
