In a sample of 212 healthy, unrelated individuals of a Czech (Central Bohemian) population, the phenotype and allele frequencies of HLA-DRB1 and -DQB1 loci were determined. DNA typing technique used was the restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. The restriction enzymes were TaqI and HindIII and specific DRB1 and DQB1 probes were applied. The most frequent DRB1 and DQB1 alleles found were DRB111 and DQB106, their respective frequencies being 0.1698 and 0.2594.
