[Prognosis of breast carcinoma after Rotter-Halsted operation. 10-year outcome in 240 patients].

Between 1974 and 1987 240 patients with cancer of the breast were operated upon. The course of all patients was followed over a period of 10 to 24 years. 87 patients died from breast cancer, 15 from other malignancies, and 74 from other unrelated diseases. 64 patients are surviving until now.
