Abstract
On December 19, 1989, the President signed into law House Resolution 3299 as Public Law 101-239. Title VI of that law applies to Medicare, Medicaid, maternal and child health, and other health provisions; Title VIII contains human resource and income security provisions; and Title X contains miscellaneous and technical Social Security Act amendments. Following is a summary of the provisions that pertain to Medicaid.
