Durable medical equipment suppliers in five states were surveyed to obtain information about the services they provide to clients using ventilators and/or oxygen concentrators at home. Results revealed a wide variety of services, practices, and personnel backgrounds, as well as a need for enhanced communication between suppliers, care providers, manufacturers, patients, and the Food and Drug Administration.
