Hospice patients are often quite different from more "typical" home care patients, in terms of both physical condition and emotional sensitivity. As a result, needs for home medical equipment may vary. Both the home care agency and the HME supplier should be aware of these different needs in order to best serve the hospice patient and his or her family.
