Abstract
"In order to comply with the JCAHO's new emphasis on quality assessment and improvement, nuclear medicine departments must identify important aspects of care and ... define performance indicators," concludes Ms. Gilbert. In her article she shows how the newly revised quality assurance standards apply to nuclear medicine departments. Included are figures depicting the categorization of, and performance indicators for, important aspects of care.
