The relatively uncommon experience of patients using home infusion therapy but at relatively great expense has led to problems, sometimes confrontational, between managed care organizations and home infusion therapy providers. The principal barriers to smooth contracting relationships are described by the author, who also proposes ways to create a win-win environment.
