With the growing computerization of longterm care, streamlined administration and electronic bridges between healthcare providers is on the horizon. Many facilities already use computers for financial and administrative tasks, while an increasing number use them to track and document patient care. Once patient data has been input, it's an easy step to electronically outputting the MDS.
