[Thoracophrenotomy as an approach to the adrenal glands].

For 88 operations in 69 patients with different adrenal diseases the author has employed transpleural (in 53 cases) thoracophrenotomy and subpleural (in 35 cases) thoracophrenotomy along the tenth intercostal space. These approaches are recommended evenin one-moment bilateral operation (3 observations). The incidence of complications directly relative to the selected approach is less than in lumbotomy.
