Stress of the activity of the cardio-vascular system was studied in students at different stages of course and graduation examinations, by recording the changes in the pulse rate, systolic and diastolic pressure, pulse pressure, minute blood volume and peripheral resistance. The greatest stress on the cardiac activity was revealed before and after receiving the examination paper as well as during the answer. After the answer the cardiac activity rapidly reverted to the rest level. Graduation examinations caused more drastic and rapid functional shifts at decisive stages and at the same time a faster recovery than course examinations.
