Anesthesia for magnetic resonance imaging.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) represents the latest advance in diagnostic tools available to the radiologist. Since the radiology suite is one of the most common areas requesting anesthesia, outside of the operating room, anesthesiologists will be required to understand the principles underlying MRI and how this technology affects anesthetic management in order to provide quality care in this environment.
